Army ROTC 2 and 3 Year Scholarship Information

 

2 AND 3 YEAR CAMPUS BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

These scholarships are for students currently enrolled full time in a college or university curriculum.

  • Low Cost includes full tuition, $1200 for books per year, $300living stipend per month for Freshmen, $350 for Sophomores, $450 for Juniors, and $500 for Seniors, for up to 10 months.
  • Any current Army cadet or current full time student can apply.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP (LTC)

  • LTC is a five week camp held in Fort Knox, KY.
  • The purpose of this camp is to allow students to receive credit for the first two years of ROTC and enable them to enroll in the advanced course.
  • Pays approximately $800, and all meals, housing, transportation and uniforms are paid for by the government.

  • Physical Training
  • Map Reading and Land Navigation Techniques
  • Compass Skills
  • Rifle Marksmanship

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Campus-Based Scholarships:

  1. Be a US Citizen.
  2. Be of good moral character.
  3. Under 30 years old on June 30 of the year you expect to graduate college and be commissioned.
  4. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 to apply, and at time of contracting.
  5. Minimum ROTC GPA of 2.7 if currently enrolled in ROTC classes.
  6. Minimum of 920 SAT or ACT composite of 19.
  7. Participate in leadership, extracurricular and athletic activities (Part-time jobs earn substitute credit).
  8. Pursue an army-approved academic major.
  9. Agree to accept a commission as either an Active Duty Army, Army National Guard, or US Army Reserve officer.
  10. Meet physical standards (must pass APFT before receiving benefits).
  11. Be interviewed by the Professor of Military Science.
  12. Be enrolled as a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
  13. Have at least 6 quarters of school remaining before graduation.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP

  1. 2.0 GPA based on a 4.0 scale.
  2. 920 SAT/ 19 ACT.
  3. Full time student.
  4. Must have at least 6 quarters of college remaining.
  5. Three or less dependents.
  6. Be a US citizen.
  7. Meet Army height and weight requirements.
  8. Pass the Army Physical Fitness Test.
  9. Be willing to contract as a Cadet.
  10. Initiate a Department of Defense Medical Evaluation (DoDMERB).
