The University of California Santa Barbara ROTC (Military Science Department) participates in many different events around campus and around the Santa Barbara area. From labs and training to participating in parades the ROTC students can be seen around town often.
LAB/TRAINING - Lab and training events take place after classes and at different times around campus.

LTC - Leadership Training Course
VETERAN'S DAY PARADE -The Veteran's Day Parade takes place on Veteran's Day in Santa Barbara, CA. The parade goes down State Street and consists of many different groups including the ROTC Color Gaurd.
Welcome Back BBQ - The Welcome Back BBQ takes place at the beginning of the year at Goleta Beach next to UCSB. It is a chance for new cadets to meet the faculty and their fellow ROTC members.
Military Science Ball - The Military Science Ball happens at the end of the school year and is a meal and ceremony generally at a restraunt or country club in town.
Summer Training - During Summer Training cadets have a chance to try different fields of the Army.
Awards Ceremony - The annual awards ceremony takes place every year and honors the cadet's achievments over the year.
Ranger Challenge
- The Ranger Challenge takes place every year usually after the Fall FTX and is a challenge between the best cadets from different schools in the area.
